Over 200 student athletes attended the annual Evangeline Parish athlete physicals today (Thursday) sponsored by Healthworks Rehab in cooperation with local schools and health care agencies. This is the tenth year Andy Poche and David Vidrine sponsor this intensive event to assist athletes for the upcoming school season. Students in all sports  from Ville Platte High, Sacred Heart High and Pine Prairie were screened by health care professionals. The screenings included blood pressure, eye, dental and muscular-skeletal examinations. They were weighed and put through a vigorous workout in the facility’s gym area. Poche said all of the health care professionals donated their time to screen the athletes. Classic Country 1050 KVPI AM did a live remote broadcast and spoke with the football coaches and assistants from all three schools.

KVPI AM and FM are proud members of the L.A.B.
